The US doesn't really want ISIS defeated

Dear Ron,

It seems absurd, given all the rhetoric coming out of the Trump Administration and gloating by the man himself that he's defeated ISIS, but the U.S. has no interest in seeing the completion of the destruction of ISIS or the other "rebels and militants" (AKA al-Qaida-linked terrorists) in Syria.

Syrian government aircraft dropped leaflets in the Syrian province of Daraa last week warning people against taking up arms against the Syrian government. The leaflets included a picture showing bodies of what are presumed to be anti-government fighters and the text, "This is the inevitable fate of anyone who insists on carrying arms."

According to reports coming out of Syria, the leaflets also called on militants to stop fighting and reconcile with the Syrian government or they would be gambling with their lives and face "inevitable death."

This prompted the U.S. State Department – fearing an expansion of the Syrian government offensive to defeat anti-government forces once and for all -- to issue a warning to the Syrian regime against taking "any actions that risk broadening the conflict or jeopardize the ceasefire."

Daraa is Syria's southern province and it shares a border with Jordan and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. It's considered the birthplace of the uprising against the Bashar Assad regime that began in 2011, which is not surprising given the aid Israel, Jordan, the U.S. and its Arab allies supplied the "rebels" throughout the conflict.

"As a guarantor of this de-escalation area with Russia and Jordan, the United States will take firm and appropriate measures in response to Assad regime violations," said U.S. State Department spokespuppet Heather Nauert.

The Syrian military – thanks to help from Russia and Iran – has anti-government forces on the run and is steadily regaining control of lost territory. The runs counter to the U.S. operation of regime change in Syria – a goal stated by Barack Obama and echoed from time-to-time by President Donald Trump.

So what we have here is the State Department telling us without actually telling us that it wants ISIS and al-Qaida to survive in Syria. And in fact, U.S. coalition forces are actively operating as ISIS's and al-Qaida's air force by bombing Syrian forces inside Syrian territory. In other words, the U.S. is at war with Syria, but no war has been declared by Congress as required by the U.S. Constitution.

This goes to prove what I have been saying for years, that governments need scapegoats and phony enemies to create crisis and a perceived need for government intervention, which it uses for more control and a greater military budget.

There are several things at play here.

The globalists running U.S. foreign policy have had Iran in their sights for many years… since at least as far back as the 1990s, according to retired General Wesley Clark, and since the early 2000s according to Council on Foreign Relations policy paper Project for a New American Century. And the road to Iran runs through Syria.

Just like the NATO-enabled regime change in Libya wasn't a humanitarian mission, as the media and chuckleheaded globalists running Obama's foreign policy claimed, the Syrian mission wasn't a humanitarian mission. And those so-called Syrian gas attacks were false flags designed to goad the American public into another foreign war.

ISIS is/was funded by putative U.S. allies Saudi Arabia (the same country that spawned 15 of the 9/11 hijackers and funded the attacks), Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. Israel provided medical aid to the fighters, treating their wounds and throwing back into the fight.

The terror group rose from the ashes of Libya following the overthrow — with U.S. assistance and arms — of Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi. ISIS grew in the Syrian civil war, again with U.S. arms, assistance and training. It is, by the way, the same group of people that John McCain and his neocon toadies wanted to overtly assist — as opposed to the covert assistance provided by the regime — in its efforts to overthrow the Syrian government.

By destroying or weakening Syria and Iran, the U.S. establishes Saudi Arabia and Israel as the region's hegemons, weakens Russia's allies and keeps the perpetual war going to benefit the banksters and the military-industrial complex.

And it also leads to more liberty-stealing laws, more money printing and more dead and maimed American military.

Yours for the truth,

Bob Livingston
