Should POTUS sit for an interview with special prosecutor?

January 11, 2018 by
Jim Flippence

Sitting Down in a room full of Crooked Lawyers !
Not a good idea !

if He says Hello, They will Say He Lied !
Lewis Neidhardt
Wasted money that can best be used investigating Benghazi.
#MBGA
Ann Eul

I think he should because twice he said he would.
Jim Flippence

If He Says "Good Morning"
They will want to Impeach him For Lying !

Good Morning, Ann (smile)
Ann Eul

That's not the point. Trump himself said if he was asked he would 100% be there.
Scott Carrasas
The only reason Prez Trump should sit down with mueller is to tell him he's fired...
Keith Jennings

Fired for what? Doing his job?!
Jim Flippence

Written Questions,
Written Answers !
Lewis Neidhardt
Then the crooked lawyers would be answering the questions.
Jim Flippence

Asking And Answering !
that's My Point !
Sidney P
Yes, he should sit for an interview with Mueller's team. Not only has he promised to do so, he needs to explain his rather vocal insistence that there's nothing to investigate. Clearly, he believes something different than the investigators believe. He needs to explain why that is.
JIM JAMES
He needs to explain nothing. He needs to have the meeting and make this statement: "Mr. Mueller, you have 30 days to finish this and get an indictment. 30 days and you are off the clock."
Keith Jennings

If he's to the point of interviewing Trump, he doesn't need another 30 days. He has what he needs to make indictments or not. It's just a matter of how Trump wants to handle it!
Mick Hargrave
I am with you Trump set Precedent when he as President of the United States said would sit down with a Special Prosecutor. It is unheard of and bat poop crazy because of the Office but since he did he might as well carry through on it. Like you said Mueller has what he needs it just how many indictm...
Keith Jennings

Exactly, Mick. This is Trump's opportunity to do the right thing for the country. If he fights this thing to the bitter end, we just may have the civil war so many, especially on his side, think they want. The left wing crazies will be in the streets too. There is no good outcome to it, but he can m...
Scott Carrasas
Walk away?
Keith Jennings

Yes. Edited. Thank you!
Mick Hargrave
You are right Keith. Trump thinks only about Self-Preservation he could care less about the whole country.

Even Nixon who had a legit case of voter fraud in Illinois that would have given him the election over JFK walked away so as not to Destroy the fabric of American Society. Trump is not that he ...
Lewis Neidhardt
He's already gotten four indictments, with two pleading guilty, so he's fulfilled that part of your hypothetical ultimatum.
Next!
Keith Jennings

Uh, oh!
Richard Hertz
Mueller has two convictions already, and has indicted #45's campaign manager Manafort and his deputy Page. He has 34 sealed indictments from his grand jury. Bannon has flipped and is working with Mueller, and has been since he was fired. Priebus, McGahn and Bannon all have the same attorney. We know...
Keith Jennings

He really doesn't have a choice and Mueller may offer him an out much less painful than fighting it until the end will bring!
Peter Green
Hell no. Mr. Mueller is obviously angling for a process crime since there was no actual underlying collusion-related crime.

FBI: "I think you robbed a bank in Oklahoma City last February 5th."

Me: "I couldn't have. I was visiting my relatives in Ohio on the 5th of Feb 2017."

The FBI checks my credit ...
Mick Hargrave
Make believe BS proves nothing of the sort. You make up facts to fit your narrative instead of just dealing with the facts that are on record.
Peter Green
I'm not even sure what that means. It's a complete non-sequitur.

You're not a very happy fellow, are you Mr. Hargrave?
Mick Hargrave
Still nothing but BS and made up facts to try and fit your fictionial world of events.
Peter Green
So you don't think Mr. Mueller is just angling for a process crime since there was no underlying collusion-related offense, Mr. Hargrave?
Mick Hargrave
Trump is the one that said he would 100% Testify before Mueller. Besides Trump wanted him to take over the F.B.I. and interviewed him for the job so he must trust him a lot.

So you need to take that up with Trump.

Trump says he will testify under Oath before Mueller.
https://www.c-span.org/video/? 42...
Peter Green
Welp, if what you say, Mr. Hargrave, is true, then I hope President Trump changes his mind, & shuts the door in Mr. Mueller's face.
Mick Hargrave
Besides why would Mueller not? Trump is the one that offered so why shouldn't Mueller take him up on it. Only an idiot wouldn't. That is what Special Prosecutors do. It is their JOB btw. You really need to bone up on the judicial system in the US.
Peter Green
President Trump can say "No interview. I changed my mind. The judiciary & executive are co-equal branches. Go pound sand, Mueller." And I hope he does.
Richard Hertz
Clinton, Bush II, and Reagan have all testified or given interviews. There is precedent. That answer was to see how many people know nothing of history.
Mick Hargrave
That would just make the President look more guilty by not sitting down with Mueller after he said he would.
Peter Green
I know history, Mr. Hertz. And so what? Nobody can force President Trump to be interviewed. He should tell the FBI (et al) to go pound sand, whether Mr. Hargrave thinks it'll "make him look more guilty" or not. Mr. Hargrave would hate the president if he cured cancer.
Richard Hertz
Does your history have the presidents I listed testifying before a special prosecutor? Does your legal dictionary have the definition of precedent? You may be up to date on revisionist history, but you are ill-informed on what really happened in history.
Peter Green
I know history, Mr. Hertz. I even have a bachelor's degree, as such. Nevertheless, regardless as to precedent, President Trump can simply say "No, Mr. Mueller .... I won't do it .... And go to hell." And he should .... Just as he did with respect to releasing his tax-returns .... in spite of your...
Mick Hargrave
And yet you Peter Green refuse to believe Trump when he says he can't wait to sit down with Mueller!!!

http://www.newsweek.com/donald -trump-robert-muelle...
Peter Green
As usual, Mr. Hargrave, that's a purposeful misrepresentation of what I said. Why do you lie so much?
Mick Hargrave
Point out where I lied. As usual you lie then blame others for lying.
Mick Hargrave
It is obvious that Trump wants to testify so are saying you are smarter than the President now????
Mick Hargrave
Well Trump said he would be glad to Testify so let him do it. Or is this just another Lie by Trump? It is Trump's credibility on line not Mueller's.

If Trump doesn't just more proof he is LIAR and can't be trusted. The only reason their is a Special Prosecutor is because Trump LIED in the 1st place ...
Scott Carrasas
I have to wonder why some of you are on a conservative website going against your parties President. He's not a perfect man, but he's was the best option of ALL the candidates. The reason the dems always get what they want is the rebublicans always attack their own. The dems never do that....ever. W...
Keith Jennings

What party is that? The Repukes are in no way conservative as a whole and neither is Trump!
Scott Carrasas
This is true, Keith...but it's all we have at this point. Should we sink the only ship that could save us from being stranded because it's not exactly what we wanted. In fact I think virtually ALL of Congress and the Senate are on the same side, they just act like they're not.
Keith Jennings

Yes. Sink it and support a conservative party. Until that happens, we just keep settling for more Progressive Repukes!
Richard Hertz
Why would you want to be on a ship that is destroying the nation? You have all of the passion of an Obama voter.
Mick Hargrave
It is not a "Either, Or" question Scott. Trump is the one that is taking himself down not any of us. Plus Trump is not stemming the Tide of Socialism he is aiding it with his support for DACA, not going after China on Currency Manipulation and BAD Trade Deals, not shutting down Planned Parenthood th...
Mick Hargrave
Sorry Scott but my allegiance is to no Man but to God and Country. You maybe in love with a Liberal Progressive pretending to be Republican but I am not. And I will continue to call out any so called Republican or Democrat that is pushing a Liberal Agenda and the people who support them. You may not...
Mick Hargrave
Besides how am I not Conservative by pointing that Trump said he would testify under oath before Mueller and that he should keep his word? If anything I am supporting him for keeping his word.

Secondly Trump is in this mess because of the LIE he told so how does that make me not a Tea Party Patriot ...
Richard Hertz
He won't testify until SCOTUS forces him to. Mueller has to ask only one question. Did you try to have a special prosecutor fired, without cause? If #45 answers yes, guilty of obstruction, if he answers no, and his people who are cooperating (Priebus took copious notes) with Mueller have already sai...
Mick Hargrave
Trump's problem in all this is Trump from lying about having tapes of him and Comey to saying he would 100% sit down with Mueller.

https://thinkprogress.org/trum p-mueller-interview-...
Keith Jennings

Trump's problem is he is guilty and can't buy his way out of this one!
Mick Hargrave
Yep he has no one to bribe so he can do business.
Scott Carrasas
Guilty of what?
Keith Jennings

Well see!
Scott Carrasas
Maybe your guilty, Keith???
Keith Jennings

No. Putin's oligarchs didn't bail me out so I owe them nothing!
Scott Carrasas
Watch t.v. much?
Richard Hertz
Keith come clean about your ties to Russia. Were you a coffee boy in the Don Jr meeting about adoption? What is Scott hiding? Come clean comrade, you're the one defending the Russian wing of the GOP.
Keith Jennings

No, but I do read a lot, especially between the lines, and have good intuition. Things aren't always as simple or cut and dried as they seem!
Keith Jennings

It was Col. Mustard with the knife in the study!
Mick Hargrave
Wow Scott Ad Hominem is all you got nothing else.
Richard Hertz
Treason, Obstruction of justice, money laundering, conspiracy against the US, RICO charges, campaign violations, but other than that nothing to see here. Remember the names Felix Sater and Bayrock. I've been saying that for months now, and when the SHTF these names will be front and center.
Whicket Williams

before this is over, Mueller will be revealed as a trump ally, flipped to stay outta prison for treason, and when the tribunals are finished, everybody will forgive him for being a traitor and Hillary's bagboy.
Mick Hargrave
Trump wanted him to take over the F.B.I. and interviewed him for the job so how is he Hillary's Bagboy?
Lewis Neidhardt
Chemtrails did it.
Richard Hertz
Made the frogs gay...
Lewis Neidhardt
Right! And the world is flat too.
Keith Jennings

Man, Alex Jones has got a grip on Whicket!
Lewis Neidhardt
Only he has the truth.
Keith Jennings

And the truth has set him free...from reality!
Robin Larson
Richard, please stop these stupid polls.
Herman Nelson
I really wish Dick would crawl back to his baby daddy zuckerberg.
Richard Hertz
You are a butthurt little snowflake aren't you? Do hard questions/answers trigger you much?
Herman Nelson
...Says the man from his condemned trailer..
Richard Hertz
Why do you deem these questions stupid? Did you ever consider that maybe the admins like receiving free content? Free content that generates debate, clicks, and time spent on the TPC site. Do you have even a basic understanding of analytics? I have far less questions since I no longer have contact w...
Jeff Pfeifer
No...it's all based on phony accusations.
Keith Jennings

Jeff, do a little research before spouting the standard Trump line!
Jeff Pfeifer
There are some news sources I trust more than others...and safe to say Rush Limbaugh has done a fair amount of research. I do like most of what Trump is doing but, I don't always agree...language especially. He needs to learn to let some things just roll off his back.
Keith Jennings

Rush isn't a source of objective information!
Jeff Pfeifer
Oh yes he is and he's one of the few I trust!
Richard Hertz
He is a drug addled toad, and his best hits are when some liberals burns him on his own show. Link to Rush fails on YouTube. There are some gems!
jv ,
Rush has always been a political hack with no morals and no respect for the constitution
Jeff Pfeifer
I don't always agree, but he's certainly a man of integrity and love for our country. You might accuse him of a lot of things, but 'no respect for the constitution'..that I don't buy.
jv ,
His blind support of the gop kinda proves it
Jeff Pfeifer
Actually Rush has not supported the GOP and has called them out for not getting conservative issues out there. In fact the other day, he accuse the GOP of talking up conservative issues but not doing them. Trump is actually doing what they've said for years they wanted to do and never did.
Mick Hargrave
Maybe but Rush is nothing but a Sycophant not a impartial observer that can be relied on.
Scott Carrasas
Would you rather have killary, Keith?
Mick Hargrave
Same old tried canard and it is no more truer today than it was in 2016.
Peter Green
I don't understand how Mr. Carrasas's question equals a "canard," Mr. Hargrave?
Mick Hargrave
Because you do not understand the meaning of Canard first off. Second it is also an Ad Hominem to miss direct nothing more. It holds no Truth what so ever. That has been Trumpsters defense since 2016 when they made that charge and it was not true then and not true now because there has never been an...
Peter Green
If it's a common argument, that makes it more, not less, likely to be true.

It was going to be Trump or Hillary. True or False, Mr. Hargrave?
Mick Hargrave
it is a common argument of those that can't prove any of their allegations as in you who LIE constantly when the facts prove you wrong. Provide proof of any here who are Constitutional Conservative that supported Hillary? Easy enough Question but you have no answer proving it is a canard.
Scott Carrasas
A hoax? Please explain...
Mick Hargrave
Produce proof of anyone here on this thread that supports Hillary. To make the charge you would need proof of supporting Hillary and you have none. Questioning Trump is not proof of supporting Hillary.
Scott Carrasas
Mick Hargrave
That in no way exonerates Trump or excuses him from Testifying when Trump himself said he would.
Keith Jennings

No. I'd rather have a true constitutional conservative!
Scott Carrasas
Your head is stuck in la-la land. Live in the now!
Keith Jennings

That attitude is why Progressives always win!
Scott Carrasas
I disagree, YOUR attitude is why progressives win. They see there opponents own party going after them and they smell blood. Then they pile on and with the corrupt liberal media most of the time they don't have a chance. That's one of the reasons I like Pres.Trump he doesn't put up with their B.S. i...
Keith Jennings

I haven't ridden anybody anymore than you are riding me. I give my opinion and they can like it or not. How does not voting for Progressives help them win? The investigation isn't over so we don't know if there is any proof yet. Trump is all for legalizing "dreamers". That would probably be your bes...
Mick Hargrave
So how is wanting a True Conservative having his head stuck in "La La Land"? That would be the preferred leader for Constitutional Conservatives.
Mick Hargrave
The only people giving aid to Progressives is Trump. The only person leaving himself open for Attack is Trump. Since when is support supposed so blind you can't question it when one deviates from their agenda? That is just as corrupt as Obama's legions were in their loyalty to him.
Robin Larson
Process crimes and off subject topic aren't worth spit or a hill of beans.
Richard Hertz
I dropped out of law school, but isn't a process crime still a crime? Punishable by a fine or a prison sentence? Are you okay with some crimes, as long as a GOP member is committing them? Are there crimes that you think are okay for a Democatic member to commit? If so what are they (both questions)?
Robin Larson
I thought you said you didn't finish High School. Caught in your lies again Richard.
Richard Hertz
I didn't finish high school, or get to graduate with my class. I had to get a GED from the state, before they would even let me take the ACT test, required at the time ('81) to enter college. I started as a Political Science major, taking all of the classes necessary to get accepted to law school. I...
Mick Hargrave
Well had Trump not said he had tapes of his Comey's conversations and then fired him that would not be a Special Prosecutor now would there.
Richard Hertz
There are 13 people as of Jan 13 that think there is no precedent for a sitting POTUS to talk to a special prosecutor. Though Obama, Bush the Elder, and Carter are the only POTUS who haven't talked to a special prosecutor, since Nixon refused to talk to Archibald Cox. Google Archibald Cox and see ho...
Scott Carrasas
Precedence means nothing to me. So if some dumbass judge rules wrongly, everyone else from then till the end of time must rule the same....ridiculous. I have personal friends who are lawyers and they said the bulk of their learning was from precedence and case law. Hardly even talked about the const...
Richard Hertz
Remember these names, you will hear them in the near future. Mark Lambert, & Vadim Mikerin, a Russian official of TENEX. This bombshell is what Flynn and Alex Copson were texting about during the inauguration. Kushner made some quiet trips to Saudia Arabia, to arrange for the US military to provide ...
Mick Hargrave
Well that is the problem because when it comes to the LAW it is. Trump should have not said he would 100% Testify if he didn't want to.
Keith Jennings

Mick Hargrave
Opps those pesky facts.
Keith Jennings
Richard Hertz
Like the trumpers say there is nothing to see here. Wow, I knew about the Felix Sater-Bayrock connection months ago. Here is a little gem I found today. Remember the whistle blower who said Flynn was texting during the inaguration, with Alex Copson, about nuclear plant deals that "would make a lot o...
Keith Jennings

If it were only as simple as they would like it to be!
Mick Hargrave
it is the money aspect that is going to take him down.
Scott Carrasas
It's not illegal to do business with Russia.
Keith Jennings

Of course not!
Lewis Neidhardt
If you're registered as a bona fide presidential candidate with the FEC, there are certain restrictions on interactions with all foreign governments and individuals.
Mick Hargrave
That is the question Lewis. Was any of those lines crossed.
Mick Hargrave
No. But that is not the question here.
Mick Hargrave
Also Trump is the one that said he had no ties to Russia which is a LIE. Then Trump said no one talked to Russians which is a LIE. If Trump didn't LIE he wouldn't be having to testify now would he.
